After experiencing the coldest weekend thus far since last winter, we had our first snow. The wind chill was low and you needed to wear the full winter regalia of a hat, gloves and scarf or else freeze if you went out over the weekend. I awoke to see this. Granted it is slushy and not fun as it was rainy too. (True it is a paltry amount.) I hope it does not become too cold tonight to change the slush to dangerous "ice". I walked to work in sneakers instead of my winter boots as I had not unearthed them yet. OOPS My bad.
Since starting my current job, I have been shoveling the snow off the stairwell and sidewalk in front of our building. At least today my hands did not freeze as the last time I shoveled last winter. Luckily it only took me 20 minutes to get it down. It helped the slush snow was not packed in!
Now that it is colder, I am looking forward to getting my first down comforter. Recently, I stayed a friend's and their guest room had a lovely down comforter. After my stay, I surfed the web and on Black Monday (I learned about this later on) I got some down comforters for myself and my parents at overstock.com. What made it more attractive, the shipping was free!
Today marks the first day of two weeks my boss is away. I have lots to catch up on and do but it is nice to be more relaxed to accomplish all the tasks I need to do.
Google just told me I just used up all the free memory for photos. Wow I used up a Gig of space. I guess I can 1) compress all the pics I have 2) delete all the pics and start over? Hmm or just have no pics on my blog. I find it is nice to have some pics.
