Valentines Day 2007

Today is a day that Hallmark, florists and chocolate stores love! Oh restaurants have prefixe menus for "lovers" and reservations for last minute people are next to impossible to have.

*Think in Japan and Korea Christmas or men get the flowers and chocolate there today. But the women get flowers and chocolates on White Day in March (instituted by the businesses as it is only fair women get their chocolates and flowers too).

Seriously though, today's weather has been the worst all winter (I have personally experienced thus far this year). Though right now it is 30 F it feels like 23F with the wind and windchill. This morning and last night we got a few inches of snow. I ended up sweeping (yes sweeping not shoveling) the steps to my work place. Luckily I did this morning as by noon as the snow changed from hail to then rain. So wet snow compacted on the steps had to be shoveled off.

Luckily at work, our contractor who is painting the office I occupy since this past Monday, had an extra shovel. Not fun I must say.

I must admit thanks MKD (scifiku) thanks for the awesome fruit, nuts and cracker basket. It was nice to get at work yesterday. As the FEDEX person said, early Vday present. Awwww, I definitely loved the healthy snacks aspect. I envy that she is in LA.

One email from a Texan put a smile on my face now just be safe while traveling this week ok?

It is true, it is the little things in life to be thankful and appreciate.
