Afternoon tea....
So recently I helped plan with the club president our annual afternoon tea event. In the past we would invite prospective students to attend and it would be held at the Ritz. But times have changed and budgets so we limited to alumnae at the most recent one.
We held it at "UPSTAIRS IN THE SQUARE" (91 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA) and it was a lovely event. I had much fun and the food choices were excellent. One of the owners graciously stopped by after I asked if she could. It is women owned and just celebrated an anniversary about 20 odd years in the business (I cannot recall the actual number). Everyone in attendance about 25 women enjoyed themselves. Alumnae from all different classes came and had great tea, conversation, or just caught up with good friends. I met some amazing women at my table.
First Floor Zebra Room
The Zebra Room, named for its wild animal carpet, has glowing, high gloss deep cerise walls and is lit with distinguished sconces as well as two large and cheerful skylights that make it equally appealing as a sun-filled daytime room, or for star-gazing at night. It is also a flexible space, since it can be divided with a large decoratively hand-painted set of screens to accommodate smaller parties. The Zebra Room was where we held our afternoon tea.

On alumnae has her own interior design firm, another is in the finance industry and constantly travelling to London for work and another I know is a fundraiser for a local museum in Boston.
I had a great time and blast. Until next year....
